Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Compliance Monitor for field-based inspections on active construction projects. You will document conditions, identify noncompliance, and coordinate corrective actions to meet permits and regulatory requirements.

The role is primarily field-based with extensive travel to sites. Working under supervision, you will apply environmental permit requirements, complete project-specific documentation, and support safety and HSSE protocols.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate in a related field.
• Experience in environmental monitoring or construction inspection preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental compliance inspections on active construction sites, documenting issues related to stormwater management and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare inspection reports and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure corrective actions and permit compliance.
• Travel ~75% to field sites and extended assignments as needed.
