Job summary

Kiewit is hiring an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to support field operations and district estimating activities. You will work in both the field and office, interpreting drawings, performing takeoffs, and assisting with plans, surveys, and cost data, with opportunities for travel across North America.

Ideal candidates have a construction‑related engineering degree, comfort with Excel/Word, and a willingness to relocate. Base compensation and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (civil, mining, mechanical, geotechnical, construction management).
Strong reading of drawings and specifications.
Willingness to travel and relocate nationwide.
Experience in field or office engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in interpretation of drawings and specs for field crews and supervision.
Perform quantity takeoffs and measurements.
Assist in preparation of work plans and job hazard analyses.
Support field surveying, data collection, and as-built records.
Assist in cost data entry and job cost reporting.
Support in purchasing and subcontract actions as needed.
