Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. seeks an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to support estimating, field operations, and office engineering across underground and foundation projects. You will assist in interpreting drawings, performing takeoffs, and helping prepare work plans for diverse sites.

The role blends field and office tasks with opportunities for travel and career growth within a leading construction group. A civil/mining/mechanical/geotechnical/construction management degree is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (e.g., civil, mining, mechanical, geotechnical, construction management).
Willingness to travel and relocate as projects require.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong work ethic and reliability; capable of working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
Perform quantity takeoffs, measurements, and material/work percentage calculations.
Support in work plans, packages, and scheduling for field operations.
Provide field survey and layout support, including elevations and control points.
Assist in daily timekeeping, JHA preparation, and safety program participation.
Contribute to underground tunneling and construction operation solutions.
Support in purchasing, subcontracting, and bid-related data collection.
Help maintain project records, reports, RFIs, and change order data.
