Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. seeks an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to support field teams with drawings, takeoffs, and basic engineering calculations.

Responsibilities span field engineering, office engineering, and estimating, with opportunities to travel as projects span North America. You will assist in field surveying, data collection, and documentation while collaborating with project managers to ensure safe, on-schedule delivery of complex geotechnical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering (civil, mining, mechanical, geotechnical, construction management).
• Willingness to travel and relocate nationwide as operations are across North America.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and assist in preparing work plans and packages.
• Support field surveying and layout, including elevation and control points.
• Assist in preparation of daily reports, RFIs, and change orders.
• Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations.
• Coordinate with project management to review cost reports and schedule.
