Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer for its District Operations. The role supports field and estimating work on underground/foundation projects across North America, with opportunities for travel and growth.

Candidates should have a construction-related degree, be willing to relocate, and possess strong drawing interpretation skills and a good work ethic. Base compensation is competitive for the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field (civil, mining, mechanical, geotechnical, construction management).
• Willingness to travel/relocate nationally as we operate on a national scale.
• Strong reading and interpretation of construction drawings and specs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in construction or mining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and as-built data.
• Assist in compiling daily labor timesheets and safety-related tasks.
• Assist in providing solutions related to underground tunneling and construction operations.
• Coordinate material deliveries and plan work groups on the jobsite.
• Support both field operations and office engineering activities.
