Job summary

Kiewit Foundations Co is seeking an Entry Level Field/Office Engineer to join its District and contribute to geotechnical and underground construction projects across North America. You will assist in drawings interpretation, takeoffs, planning, and field surveying while supporting both field crews and office engineers.

The position offers travel across the country, exposure to tunnel and foundation work, and a pathway to advanced engineering opportunities with a leading builder.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering such as civil, mining, mechanical or construction management.
• Previous experience in construction or mining is preferred.
• Desire to work in underground construction and willingness to travel/relocate across the nation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Support field engineering tasks including takeoffs, surveys, and labor data.
• Prepare work plans, packages, and safety analyses for jobsites.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups on site.
• Assist in subcontractor coordination, cost data, and change orders.
• Enter data into the project cost system and support project records.
• Support in maintaining daily reports, RFIs, and submittals.
