Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Field Engineer in Charlotte, NC, to oversee construction inspection activities for municipal transportation and infrastructure projects. You will work under a licensed engineer, performing on-site observations and coordinating documentation control across the field office.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with at least five years of progressive experience; a Master’s degree can count toward the experience requirement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required with progressive experience; a Master’s degree may count toward part of experience.
• Experience: minimum five years in civil/inspection roles with on-site supervision and documentation control.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, E-Builder and AutoCAD for project documentation and field observations.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction inspection activities for municipal transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Perform on-site observations of construction installations under supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Coordinate with municipal agencies and stakeholders; oversee field office administration and document control.
• Review schedules, drawings, specifications and procedures for compliance with project specs and QA records.
• Develop and review daily inspector reports and manage submittals and change orders.
