Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking Construction Inspectors for the Charlotte, NC area to support our Transportation division. The role involves inspecting highway and bridge projects, ensuring contractor compliance, and preparing daily reports.

Candidates must have at least 2 years' construction inspection experience and be able to obtain NCDOT certifications within 6 months. Travel to project sites is required, with nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction inspection experience required.
• Ability to acquire NCDOT certifications within 6 months at no cost.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection activities on highway and bridge projects.
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and on-site material testing.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Communicate effectively with project staff and clients.
