Job summary

STV Incorporated seeks Construction Inspectors in Raleigh, NC for the Transportation division to support current staff and help grow the CEI practice statewide. The role requires travel to project sites and the ability to perform outdoors in all weather conditions.

Duties include inspecting highway/bridge construction, ensuring contractor compliance with plans, preparing daily reports, reading plans, and performing material tests as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of construction inspection experience.
• Must possess NCDOT certifications or have ability to acquire within 6 months.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform manual tasks outdoors in various weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection activities on highway and bridge projects.
• Monitor contractor compliance with plans and specifications.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and site documentation.
• Read and interpret construction plans and technical specs.
• Conduct on-site material testing and sampling when required.
• Communicate effectively with project staff and clients, both verbally and in writing.
