Job summary

STV Incorporated in Winston-Salem, NC is hiring Utility Inspectors to support the Transportation division. The ideal candidate will perform utility relocation verification on highway and bridge projects, monitor contractor compliance, and contribute to growing our CEI services statewide.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of utility installation or construction inspection experience, good communication skills, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Applicant must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience with utility installation/inspection or construction inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform utility relocation verification activities on highway and bridge construction projects.
• Apply safety philosophy to all job responsibilities and work safely in an outside environment.
• Monitor contractor compliance with relocation plans and schedule.
• Prepare daily inspection reports.
• Read and interpret utility relocation plans, roadway plans, UC plans, and cross sections.
• Track changes in the field via redlining plans.
• Communicate effectively with project staff and clients, verbally and in writing.
• Daily travel to project sites; occasional nights/weekends may be required.
