Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to implement complex communications systems and provide technical support across RF and IT networks. The role collaborates with Engineering, Project Management, and Sales to design, install, test, and document advanced systems.

Candidates will work with P25/Astro25 equipment and related IP networking gear, travel extensively (>75%), and ensure system performance through testing and documentation. US citizenship and clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi-site RF communications systems and computer networking.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN IP networks, including cabling, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with server virtualization and Windows server/workstation environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, optimize, test, cutover, and document advanced communication systems.
• Provide weekly activity reports and project documentation.
• Configure networks, servers, RF equipment onsite and remotely; produce as-built and baseline reports.
• Troubleshoot networks, servers, databases, and RF infrastructure; verify logs and monitoring.
• Perform acceptance testing and provide final test results for documentation.
