Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to implement complex communications infrastructure and provide hands-on technical support. You will troubleshoot RF systems, configure networks, servers, and databases, and document all work for final delivery.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and extensive travel to customer sites. You will use planning tools, test plans, and FCC/licensing data to optimize performance and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, implementation, and support of complex RF and data infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, and ability to install, configure, and maintain systems.
• Ability to document site configurations, test results, and final as‑built information.
• willingness to travel extensively as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, PM, and sales to design and implement advanced communication systems.
• Oversee onsite installation of network, server, and RF equipment and provide final documentation.
• Perform onsite and remote configuration of networks, servers, and RF infrastructure.
• Conduct testing, troubleshoot faults, and verify performance per plans.
• Provide weekly activity reports and maintain system logs for accountability.
