Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to implement complex communications systems and provide technical support for RF and data infrastructure. You will collaborate with Engineering, PM, and Sales to design, implement, test, and document systems that meet customer expectations.

The role requires strong networking and RF knowledge, plus ability to work onsite and remotely. Travel up to 75% is expected; background clearance is required for government customers.

Qualifications

• Requires strong networking and RF system knowledge.
• Willing to travel 50-75%.
• Must obtain background clearance per CJIS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, optimize, test, cutover, and document advanced communication systems.
• Provide weekly activity reports.
• Oversee onsite installation of network, server, and RF equipment with as-built documentation.
• Perform onsite/remote configuration of networks, servers, RF, and databases.
• Troubleshoot networks, servers, databases, and RF infrastructure; verify logs.
• Conduct acceptance testing and provide test results for final package.
