Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a technically skilled technician to install, program, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems for transmission and distribution operations.

You will diagnose issues, interpret schematics, and coordinate repairs to ensure reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure. The role requires domestic and international travel, strong communication, and experience with protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–75% of the time
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems
• Analyze test results and locate defective equipment
• Coordinate testing and repairs with other departments
• Perform routine maintenance and testing of relays and associated equipment
• Support startup and commissioning of protection and metering installations
