Job summary

Harder Mechanical Contractors is seeking a Field Engineer to support planning, scheduling, and execution of project scopes. You will coordinate with field labor to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and quality standards.

This entry-level role provides a pathway into project management and exposure to multiple market sectors. Successful candidates will review drawings, quantify scopes, and collaborate with designers, owners, and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Management, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience or education.
• Previous internship experience, preferably with a focus on construction or engineering.
• Experience with construction documentation and project controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn and promote Harder’s safety policies and protocols.
• Review drawings and define project scope and quantities.
• Resolve issues with design engineers, owners, and team members.
• Monitor field work to ensure plans and specs are followed.
• Plan work sequences and prepare/monitor labor and cost estimates.
• Track progress and update status weekly.
• Organize project records in a document control system.
• Assist in estimating future work and project needs.
