Job summary

McGough Construction is offering a Field Engineer Intern program designed to provide real on-the-job experiences, mentorship, and exposure to multiple roles within our organization.

As an intern in field operations you will work with the on-site superintendent and foreman, learn layout, surveys, QC, safety, and document control using Procore, CMiC, and SharePoint, while gaining valuable professional skills and a pathway toward future leadership.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing Construction Management or related field.
• Energetic in fast-paced environments and ready to take initiative.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools and systems.
• Creative problem-solving mindset for field operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site Superintendent and Foreman with tasks.
• Track quantities and verify materials on site.
• Learn layout and site surveys on active projects.
• Support RFI writing and coordination with subcontractors.
• Maintain as-builts and organize project documents.
• Participate in safety audits, daily logs, and meetings.
