Job summary

McGough offers a Field Engineer Intern program to gain hands-on experience in construction. You will work alongside on-site teams, learn field operations, and explore multiple roles across the organization.

This is a structured, mentored internship designed to launch a career in field operations with exposure to Procore, CMiC, and SharePoint. You will participate in safety audits, daily logs, and coordination meetings while developing communication skills and technical know-how.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools and systems.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and be on-site.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site Superintendent and Foreman with a variety of tasks.
• Track quantities and verify material usage on live projects.
• Help track materials inventory and ensure items are where they need to be.
• Learn building layout and site surveying practices on active projects.
• Help organize, store, and maintain project tools.
• Support pre-install meetings, inspections, and QC-related documentation.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment to sites.
• Assist with RFI writing and subcontractor coordination.
• Attend weekly coordination meetings and participate in planning.
• Maintain as-built documentation and project records in Procore and SharePoint.
