McGough offers an Internship/Co-op: Field Engineer program designed to immerse students in construction operations on high-profile projects. You’ll work with experienced professionals, contribute to on-site tasks, and gain hands-on experience beyond the classroom.

You'll develop practical skills in layout, material tracking, RFI writing, and safety, with travel to various sites and a path toward leadership roles as you progress in the program.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior, or senior majoring in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Energized by fast-paced environments and tackling challenges.
• Team player who can lead when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools.
• Innovative mindset and problem-solving focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site Superintendent and Foreman with a variety of tasks.
• Track and verify quantities on projects.
• Help track materials inventory and ensure they are where they need to be.
• Learn building layout and site surveys on projects.
• Help organize, store, and maintain project tools.
• Support constructability checks and documentation of QC issues.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials and equipment.
• Assist with RFI writing and paperwork.
• Work with subcontractors and help manage tasks and scheduling.
• Join weekly coordination meetings for project planning.
• Maintain as-builts and project documents in Procore, CMiC, and SharePoint.
• Participate in safety audits and daily logs.
