Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Field Engineer I in Indianapolis, IN. This field-based role includes a company car, gas card, cell phone and laptop, with vehicle maintenance covered by the company.

The territory covers customers throughout Indianapolis and surrounding areas, with travel to Rochester, NY during training. You'll install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in hospital and clinic laboratories.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 4 years of military or field service experience.
• Minimum 4 years experience installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license; travel 50-75% to Rochester, NY during training and up to 75% thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in field settings.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and system issues; determine solutions per product and customer specs.
• Provide on-site service, training, and coordination with customers and company representatives.
• Manage preventive maintenance, upgrades, and travel logistics for the territory.
