Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Engineer to support field and laboratory tasks, data collection, and reporting for geotechnical projects. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and collaboration with engineers and technicians on site.

You will conduct soil testing, assist with field drilling and sampling, prepare site visit reports, and communicate with clients to determine project needs, contributing to high-quality testing and design services nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• EIT and ability to achieve professional registration (PE).
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Field and laboratory work including geotechnical testing and data collection.
• Prepare field and laboratory reports for project files.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs and expectations.
• Assist geotechnical investigations including field drilling and lab testing.
