Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Technician I to perform field and laboratory testing of soils and related materials in accordance with ASTM, ASIC, and ACI standards. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compliance with QA/QC procedures while supporting clients and projects.

The position requires travel within the region, hands-on testing, and collaboration with project managers to report results and maintain high productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year vocational or college degree preferred.
• Ability to work in field outdoors and lift equipment.
• Effective communication with clients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, plastics, and other materials as required.
• Conduct laboratory testing and calibrations on materials per standards.
• Observe excavations and correlate observations with logs.
• Report test results to project manager and communicate with clients.
• Maintain laboratory and field equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Travel regionally and assist with field operations and QA/QC.
