Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Engineer to support engineers and technicians in the field, perform laboratory testing, and observe construction materials to ensure accurate data collection and reliable project outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil/Geological engineering background, 0–3 years of experience, and pursue Engineer‑in‑Training with the goal of PE licensure; familiarity with QA procedures and MS Office is helpful. Travel to regional sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE).
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Field testing and laboratory testing per QA procedures.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.
• Assist in training less experienced personnel in routine field work/documentation.
• Maintain and improve the materials testing laboratory in the local office.
• Assist geotechnical investigations including field drilling and lab testing and reporting.
