Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Technician I to conduct field and laboratory testing of soils and related materials, following ASTM, ASIC, and ACI standards while maintaining safety and QA/QC procedures. The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork across project sites.

The position involves field work, some travel within the regional area, and collaboration with project teams to ensure regulatory and client requirements are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year vocational or college degree preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing of soils, plastics concrete, bituminous, and masonry products.
• Perform field density and Proctor density tests.
• Report test results and maintain QA/QC records.
• Coordinate with project manager and client representatives.
• Maintain equipment and follow safety policies.
• Frequent regional travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
