Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is hiring a Field Engineer in Duluth, MN, to support engineers and technicians with field duties and lab testing. You will assist in soil testing, field observations, and report preparation—ensuring data accuracy for construction projects.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Geology engineering background with 0–3 years’ experience and is pursuing EIT/PE certification. Regional travel and collaboration with clients are essential parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geologic, or related Engineering field required.
• 0–3 years of experience in engineering or science field.
• EIT and ability to achieve PE desired; internship or prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and technicians with project duties in the field.
• Perform laboratory testing and field observation of construction materials.
• Prepare field and laboratory reports with QA/compliance.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs and maintain project records.
• Travel regionally and assist in site visits and data collection.
