Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc is seeking a skilled technician to install, program, test, and maintain protective relaying and metering systems used in transmission and distribution operations.

You will interpret schematics, perform diagnostics, and coordinate repairs in industrial, data center, and utility environments, while traveling up to 50% as needed.

Applicants should have 5+ years electrical experience or relevant degrees, and are expected to adhere to safety standards such as LOTO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical testing and relays.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Valid US work authorization.
• Experience with protective relays, meters, switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Program, install and maintain protective relaying and metering.
• Analyze test results and interpret schematics to locate faults.
• Use test equipment in energized electrical rooms and substations safely.
• Commission new relay and metering installations.
• Coordinate testing and repairs with other departments.
• Provide mentorship to junior technicians.
