Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Engineer to lead data center modernization projects and ensure capacity, safety and efficiency. You will collaborate with operations, design, and commissioning teams to deliver scalable infrastructure globally.

The role combines office and field work with opportunities to influence critical systems and sustainability initiatives across AWS data centers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Valid USA driver's license.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
Experience with data analytics and scripting.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, RCA, and CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
Direct operational support with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews.
Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to add capacity and efficiency.
Interface with data center operations, design engineering, hardware, EH&S teams to promote standards.
Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
Work on concurrent projects across regions.
Lead engineering audits and on-site visits with risk reports and mitigations.
Act as resident engineer during new construction projects including commissioning.
