Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to provide full life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers—from design inception to site improvement and maintenance.

The role involves leading audits, solving complex problems, and collaborating with Operations, Design, and Construction teams to ensure reliability and efficiency. The position requires strong engineering judgment, field readiness, and experience with mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform RCA, and document corrective actions for facility/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with training, SOP reviews, and event support.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to increase capacity, availability, and efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Lead audits and on-site reviews; report risks with mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction projects including commissioning and turnover.
