Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Critical Infrastructure Engineer to support AWS Data Centers from design through maintenance. You will troubleshoot issues, lead upgrades, and coordinate with operations, design, and safety teams to ensure reliability and efficiency.

The role includes field work across regions and involvement in audits and commissioning. The ideal candidate has a mechanical engineering background, strong project management skills, and a proven ability to translate complex data

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform RCA and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews.
• Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to improve capacity and efficiency.
• Interface with operations, design, server hardware and EHS teams to promote standards.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers.
• Lead engineering audits and on-site visits; report risks with mitigations.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction; support commissioning and turnover.
• Work across multiple geographic regions.
