Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to lead data center projects, provide lifecycle support from design inception through maintenance, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure.

You will own conceptual designs for upgrades, coordinate with operations and design teams, and conduct audits while balancing safety, cost, and performance at hyper-scale facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and a valid driver's license.
• Strong engineering judgement, detail-oriented and data-driven approach.
• Experience managing engineering projects and coordinating with multiple teams.
• Knowledge of building codes, power/mechanical systems and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and document corrective actions for data center issues.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, SOP reviews, and event response.
• Design upgrade concepts to increase capacity, availability and efficiency.
• Interface with data center operations, design, server hardware, safety teams to ensure standards.
• Develop innovative solutions for AWS data centers and lead engineering audits.
• Act as resident engineer during new construction, supporting commissioning and turnover.
