Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Field Engineer – Core role in Nashville, TN. You will actively participate in safety plans, work with a crew on self-perform tasks, and learn Lean practices as you support project teams.

Education includes a preferred Bachelor’s in construction management or engineering with 0–2 years of experience; relocation or site training may be required. This role emphasizes collaboration with foremen and subcontractors on major industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform work accurately and completely.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in MS Office and layout tasks.
• Knowledge of crane flagging and rigging.
• Familiarity with Lean processes and construction management methods.
• Ability to build relationships and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in project safety plans and culture.
• Works with a crew to perform self-perform tasks on site.
• Learns company standards and building techniques on the job.
• Builds relationships with trades, foremen, journeymen, superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Applies Lean practices to daily activities and participates in planning meetings.
