Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Field Engineer – Core to participate in safety programs, perform self-perform tasks with a crew, and learn lean construction methods on large industrial projects. The role emphasizes collaboration across foreman, journeymen, and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop layout skills, crane flagging and rigging knowledge, and contribute to project teams while pursuing related degree preferences or an accredited

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (Preferred).
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• 0-2 years construction experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Learns and actively participates in safety culture to support injury-free environment.
• Works with tools and executes self-perform work embedded with a crew of craftsmen.
• Gathers knowledge about standard building practices through hands-on training.
• Builds relationships and communicates with tradespeople and project team members.
• Learns company standards for equipment use on building processes.
• Collaborates with others and demonstrates teamwork.
• Learns Lean practices and incorporates them daily.
• Participates in weekly work plans and site meetings.
