Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Field Engineer 1 to support routine construction activities on projects across the Advanced Facilities portfolio. You will work with tools, participate in safety plans, and learn company standards while collaborating with craftsmen and project teams.

This entry-level role emphasizes hands-on training, Lean practices, and exposure to design and field execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 0–2 years construction experience preferred.
• Federally required training/apprenticeship preferred depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in all aspects of the project-specific safety plan and culture.
• Learns and actively participates in all aspects of safety culture with mentoring others.
• Works with tools and executes self-perform work as part of a crew of craftsmen.
• Gains knowledge of company standards and fundamentals for building techniques.
• Builds relationships with foremen, journeymen, superintendents, subcontractors, etc.
• Learns Lean practices and participates in weekly work plans.
