Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer for the Advanced Facilities Group to support core trades work on demanding projects. You will participate in safety programs, support on-site tasks, and collaborate with foremen, journeymen, and subcontractors to drive project success.

The role emphasizes learning building techniques, Lean practices, and effective communication. A relevant degree or apprenticeship is preferred, with 0–2 years of construction experience encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field (Preferred).
• Participation in apprenticeship or federally required training (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Participates in project safety plan and culture.
• Learns and supports safety culture to maintain injury-free environment.
• Works with tools and completes assigned tasks embedded in a crew.
• Gains knowledge of company standards and building techniques on the job.
• Builds relationships with trades, foremen, journeymen and subcontractors.
• Understands company functions and how each contributes to project success.
• Learns equipment use for building processes and applies it.
• Collaborates with others and demonstrates teamwork.
• Learns Lean practices and applies them daily.
• Participates in weekly work plans and site meetings.
