Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer for the Core Trade Family in our Advanced Facilities group. You will participate in safety programs, perform hands-on tasks with a crew, and learn construction techniques while collaborating with foremen, journeymen, superintendents, and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes Lean practices, relationship building, and knowledge of layout, rigging, and Crane flagging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Federally required training or apprenticeship program preferred depending on location.
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in project safety plan and culture.
• Participates in safety culture and mentoring others.
• Works with tools and performs self-perform work embedded in a crew.
• Learns company standards and fundamentals of building techniques on the job.
• Builds relationships with trades and project team members.
• Understands functions across the company and their contributions to project success.
• Learns equipment usage for building processes.
• Collaborates with others and demonstrates teamwork.
• Learns Lean practices and applies them daily.
• Attends weekly work plan meetings when required by site.
