Job summary

TEAM, Inc. seeks a Heat-Treating Technician—Electrical Resistance to independently perform PWHT using electrical resistance methods.

You will prepare, apply, monitor, and document heat cycles on piping, vessels, and weldments, with potential involvement in induction or combustion heat treating in field or shop environments. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years ERHT experience, read weld procedures and P&IDs, and can travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on ERHT in industrial environments.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
• Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA or similar site credentials.
• Read P&IDs, isometrics and weld heat-treat specs.
• Willingness to travel and work extended shifts, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down electrical resistance heating systems.
• Execute PWHT and preheat activities per procedures and codes.
• Lay out and install heat treating blankets, insulation and thermocouples.
• Program and record temperature cycles on control units.
• Interpret weld procedures and heat treat drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment and temperature control issues on site.
• Coordinate with welders, inspectors and client reps on location.
• Maintain heat cycle records and QA/QC logs.
• Follow safety rules for electrical equipment and high temps.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist with training.
