Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Heat-Treating Technician with a focus on Electrical Resistance Methods to execute PWHT and related heat cycles on piping, vessels, and weldments.

The role supports field and shop environments, with potential experience in induction or combustion methods. The candidate should have 2–5 years of ERHT experience, a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain site credentials.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on electrical resistance heat treating (ERHT) in industrial environments.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Must obtain TWIC/DISA or alternate site access credentials.
• Familiarity with ceramic heating pads, controller programming, thermocouple application, and insulation layout.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down electrical resistance heating systems (ceramic pad heaters, controllers, thermocouples).
• Perform PWHT and preheat activities per procedures, specs, and applicable codes.
• Lay out and install heat treating blankets, insulation, and thermocouples with precision.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles using control units.
• Interpret weld procedures, stress relief specs, and heat treat drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment and temperature control issues on active operations.
• Coordinate with welders, inspectors, and client representatives on site.
• Maintain accurate records of heat cycles, charts, and equipment logs for QA/QC.
