Job summary

TEAM Industrial Services seeks a Heat‑Treating Technician specialized in Electrical Resistance to perform PWHT and related heat‑treat activities on piping, vessels, and weldments in field and shop settings. You will setup equipment, monitor cycles, and document results, working with welders, inspectors, and client teams.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years ERHT experience, familiarity with induction/combustion methods, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
• 2–5 years hands-on ERHT experience in industrial environments.
• Knowledge of ceramic heating pads, controller programming, thermocouple application, and insulation layout.
• Familiarity with weld joint prep and applicable codes (ASME, API, etc.).
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, and equipment specs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down electrical resistance heating systems (ceramic pads, controllers, thermocouples).
• Perform PWHT and preheat activities per procedures and codes.
• Lay out and install heating blankets, insulation, and thermocouples precisely.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles with control units.
• Troubleshoot equipment and temperature control issues during operations.
• Coordinate on-site with welders, inspectors, and client reps.
• Maintain accurate heat cycle charts, logs, and QA/QC records.
