Job summary

Team Industrial Services is seeking a Heat-Treating Technician with Electrical Resistance experience to independently execute PWHT using ERHT. You will prepare, apply, monitor, and document heat cycles on piping, vessels, and weldments in field and shop environments.

Preferred candidates bring 2–5 years of ERHT experience, a strong understanding of ceramic pads and thermocouples, and the ability to travel and work extended shifts. Comprehensive safety training and certifications are valued.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on ERHT experience in industrial environments.
• Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and other site credentials.
• Strong knowledge of ceramic heating pads, controller programming, thermocouple application, and insulation layout.
• Willingness to travel and work extended shifts, weekends, and variable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, operation, and breakdown of electrical resistance heating systems, including ceramic pad heaters, controllers, and thermocouple assemblies.
• Execute PWHT and preheat activities in accordance with procedures and codes.
• Lay out and install heat treating blankets, insulation, and thermocouples with precision.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles using control units and recorders.
• Interpret weld procedures, stress relief specs, and heat treat drawings.
• Provide on-site coordination with welders, inspectors, and client representatives.
• Maintain accurate records of heat cycles and equipment logs for QA/QC and reporting.
• Follow safety procedures for electrical equipment and elevated temperatures; train assistants as needed.
