Job summary

WM in Grovetown, GA seeks an Operations Manager Trainee to onboard, develop, coach and manage driver performance. This role maintains strong front-line relationships and spends most of the day in the field with the team, starting as early as 4:30am.

The position focuses on safety, regulatory compliance, and hands-on leadership of 15–20 drivers, supporting ongoing WM operations in a hybrid field-office setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of a degree,
• High School Diploma (accredited) and two (2) years of relevant work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and
• Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
• Driver's License Valid Driver's License Upon Hire
• Successful completion of the WM Operations Manager Trainee program

Responsibilities

• Onboarding and developing drivers and helpers.
• Coaching, mentoring, and performance management of frontline staff.
• Maintain positive relationships with front-line employees.
• Lead safety practices and regulatory documentation.
• Review route operations and attend to incidents and DVIRs.
• Visit customers/sites to evaluate safety and service options.
