Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Data Center Technician to support mission-critical data centers and high-reliability facilities. You will commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up advanced HVAC systems, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability for essential operations.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC experience, chiller startup proficiency, and Data Center familiarity. You will work on-site with other teams, receive hands-on training, and may travel to different sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC experience, with systems knowledge.
• Proven start‑up experience for air‑cooled and water‑cooled chillers.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with service leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Serve as the direct customer contact for Chiller products on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Diagnose and repair equipment using blueprints, engineering specs, and chiller operation software.
• Maintain safety standards and document asset use, wear, and conditions.
• Travel overnight as needed to other sites and support high-stress data center environments.
• Provide coaching to less experienced technicians and assist with training.
