Job summary
Trane Technologies is seeking a Data Center Field Service Engineer to join our team, supporting commercial customers across North America. You will be a senior member of the Data Center Services Team, responsible for startup, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and emergency response of data center cooling infrastructure at customer sites.
Travel 75%+ is expected; candidates should have 5+ years in HVAC, expertise in chillers, experience with screw and centrifugal compressors,
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry, including mission-critical or large-tonnage chillers.
- Strong knowledge of thermal cooling systems (air-cooled and water-cooled).
- Hands-on startup, commissioning, troubleshooting and repair of cooling equipment.
- Experience with screw and centrifugal compressor technologies.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 75%+.
Responsibilities
- Travel to and support data center cooling infrastructure across North America, focus on startup, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and emergency response.
- Diagnose and repair complex HVAC and chiller systems.
- Respond to critical service events in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain complete, accurate service records and field reports.
- Travel 75%+; occasional international travel.
