Prairieland FS, Inc. in Astoria, IL is seeking an Application Specialist to deliver and apply crop protection inputs in the field under supervision of the Location Manager/Crop Specialist. The role requires agronomy knowledge, safety discipline, and precise record-keeping.

The position includes equipment calibration, field data recording, customer deliveries, and reporting sales leads. A high school diploma is required, with CDL within six months and possible pesticide licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy training a plus.
• Experience in agricultural application or related field preferred; agronomy/precision ag a plus.
• Strong understanding of crop protection products, agronomy practices, and equipment operation.
• Familiarity with GPS and precision agriculture technology is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with deadline focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Mixes products and applies crop inputs according to rates and labels; records data.
• Maintain, repair, and operate ag equipment safely.
• Calibrate equipment for accurate application rates.
• Maintain detailed crop application records for compliance.
• Deliver products to customers and report sales leads.
