Job summary

Prairieland FS is seeking an Application Specialist to deliver and precisely apply crop protection inputs in the field, while actively communicating sales leads. A strong knowledge of agronomy and equipment operation, plus a commitment to safety and accuracy, are essential for success.

Under the Location Manager, you will calibrate and operate sprayers and related machinery, maintain detailed application records, and stay current with regulatory requirements and new product developments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional agronomy training is a plus.
• Experience in agricultural application or related field preferred; agronomy/precision ag a plus.
• Strong understanding of crop protection inputs, agronomy practices, and equipment operation preferred.
• Familiarity with GPS and precision agriculture technology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mixes products and applies crop inputs following rates, procedures, and labels; records data.
• Maintains, repairs, and operates field equipment and machinery safely.
• Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure equipment efficiency.
• Calibrates equipment to ensure accurate application rates according to field conditions.
• Maintains detailed crop application records and complies with regulations.
• Delivers products to customers and reports sales leads to managers.
