Job summary

The Bachrach Group is working with a local distributor of copier and production equipment seeking a motivated Service Technician to join their field service team on Long Island. The role requires hands-on repair and on-site customer service, with responsibility for diagnosing and servicing digital copiers and laser printers.

You will maintain parts inventory, install equipment as needed, and communicate clearly with customers while upholding a professional image and strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Electronic and mechanical aptitude to diagnose and repair devices.
• Experience with digital copiers and/or laser printers (Epson, Konica, Ricoh, Toshiba).
• Good communication and strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose, repair and maintain equipment at customer sites.
• Manage and maintain a parts inventory via handheld device.
• Receive, prioritize and close service calls via handheld device.
• Assist with equipment installations as needed.
• Stay current with new technology through manufacturer classes and training.
• Communicate equipment problems and solutions to fellow technicians.
• Present a professional image through attire, communication, and service.
• Operate computer and basic networking tools as required.
