Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an entry-level Controls Technician Intern to assist the Project Management team on building automation and temperature control projects. You will gain hands-on experience, work with a team of field personnel, and participate in point-to-point controller checks and startup tasks under a mentor.

This internship offers on-site work at customer locations, safety training, and exposure to a variety of projects, with a compensation range and benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrolled or to be enrolled in a technical program.
• HVAC/EMS focus preferred but not mandatory.
• Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (e.g. smartphone, iPad).
• Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months with no major violations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Management team in completing building automation and temperature control projects.
• Provide support labor to an existing crew of field personnel.
• Learn through daily tasks and observe multiple projects under mentorship.
• Perform on-site equipment delivery, labor assistance and general duties as directed by the senior project manager.
• Maintain safety standards and asset security while working overtime when required.
