Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Service Controls Technician Intern to gain hands-on exposure to smart building automation, DDC, and energy-efficient HVAC systems in real-world commercial environments.

You will work with seasoned technicians and engineers, shadow system startups, calibrate sensors, and assist with BAS reports, while developing problem-solving and customer-service skills for future opportunities within Trane.

Qualifications

• Pursuing accredited program in BAS/HVAC or related tech field.
• Minimum GPA 2.8+ preferred.
• Current enrollment in Associate, Bachelor, or technical certificate program.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist senior controls technicians during system startup and commissioning.
• Assist in uploading/downloading and addressing Trane digital controllers.
• Learn sensor verification, wiring terminations, and VFD integration.
• Communicate customer needs and provide automation guidance.
