Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Service Controls Technician Intern for field-based work at customer sites in Harrisburg. You will gain hands-on exposure to BAS, DDC, and energy-efficient HVAC systems, shadowing senior technicians and supporting startup, calibration, and diagnostics.

The internship is 10–12 weeks long, paid hourly, and designed to accelerate your technical problem solving with mentors and possible future opportunities within Trane Technologies.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an accredited program in Building Automation Systems (BAS)/HVACR Technology/Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Must be in good academic standing (minimum GPA 2.8+ preferred).

Responsibilities

Assist Field Technicians: Shadow and support senior controls technicians during startup, commissioning, and PM on BAS.
Assist in uploading/downloading and configuring Trane digital controllers (Tracer UC, Synchrony).
Learn sensor verification, wiring terminations, actuator tests, and VFD integration.
Report generation and daily field service documentation.
