Job summary

Trane Technologies in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Field-Based HVAC/Controls Technician to install and service building automation systems at customer sites. You will interpret drawings, prepare on-site, coordinate with other trades, maintain inventory, and document all activities while ensuring safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' HVAC/Controls experience, a High School diploma (Technical training preferred), proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices, and a valid

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in HVAC/Controls.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems.
• Interpret drawings to install temperature control systems.
• Prepare for on-site installations by planning layout and coordinating with trades.
• Maintain stock and document activities.
• Complete paperwork including time, progress, and duration.
• Serve as direct customer contact and service equipment on projects.
• Ensure safety standards and vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Travel regularly with occasional overnight stays.
• Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility for overtime.
