Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring an HVAC/Controls installer to handle the installation of building automation systems at customer sites. You will interpret drawings, install wiring and control devices, and coordinate with other trades to ensure a smooth on-site rollout.

You will maintain inventory, document daily work, and act as the primary customer contact to diagnose and repair equipment. A high school diploma and 2–5 years’ HVAC/controls experience are required, with travel including occasional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, and typically 2–5 years of HVAC/controls experience.
• Technical school or formal training is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices (smartphone, iPad) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems and ductwork; interpret control drawings and plans.
• Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing layout and coordinating with trades.
• Maintain inventory, complete documentation, and submit reports on time.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and ensure satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment.
• Keep Trane products and DDC technology up to date and ensure safety standards.
