Job summary

CDM Smith's Perry Group, Ltd. seeks an Intermediate Construction Professional to work in the field at client project sites. You will perform field engineering, site administration, estimating, scheduling, quality control, and safety support under general supervision.

The role is 100% field-based with travel to project locations across the United States. You will coordinate with field leads and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience. Degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the site construction lead on scheduling, daily reports, quality control reports, conformance to drawings and specifications, and communication with subcontractors as required.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings.
• Ensure work adheres to the project schedule; escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Write Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with the site construction lead or Project Construction Manager.
• Take progress photographs of construction events and label each photograph.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensure contractors use the latest design drawing revisions for construction.
• May assist the Project Construction Manager.
• May be responsible for key trades and/or subcontractors in support of the project.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments with the Project Manager.
• Provide clear, concise, professional correspondence with project management and clients.
• Maintain on-site records and files per CDM Smith document control requirements.
• Understand and follow the CDM Smith Quality Policy and related instructions.
• Travel 100% as required.
